A horribly tedious film

This time, the phrase "From the producers of Despicable Me" did not sound like a warning, but as a recommendation, because I moderately enjoyed that movie. Unfortunately, Hop ended up being a horrible film which uses the most cloying and tiring routines from the family cinema. In a few words, I found the story to be boring, the humor to be excessively simple and trite, and the performances (with one exception) to be lacking of any life or energy. However, the solid animation and vivacious music might fool to some kids to make them believe they are having fun.

I previously mentioned that almost all the performances (also the voice ones) feel listless. The only actor who shows conviction in his role is James Marsden as the leading character. His best attribute in this movie is that he makes us to believe he is genuinely interacting with a rabbit which would not exist on the screen until months later, during the post-production. And I also liked the fact that he takes his character seriously; thinking about it better, I think that that is what makes the relationship between his character and the rabbit credible. Unfortunately, Marsden's competent work was not enough for saving this movie from being an absolute tedium.

And just in case the screenplay was not questionable enough, Hop forces its premise even more in order to justify the use of sporadic rock-and-roll songs, with the hope of looking "cooler". Besides, the excuse of the rabbit wanting to be a rock singer is simply a rehash of the old cliché "son who refuses to follow his father's steps". Anyway, I think that Hop is an atrocious movie which made me feel like genuinely wasting my time. In other words, avoid it at any cost.

I was in the hospital

Couldn't move, and had to watch something on tv.

It was played in november..

Bad acting, bad voice acting, bad script for a movie. Basically a 1 hour and 35 minutes cringe marathon. I feel so embaressed for James Marsden, how could he lower himself to this?

Cute Easter bunny on adventure!

I saw the movie Hop the first time on October 5, 2014. Must really say that the movie was totally entertaining. The film has soft and cute characters like E.B. I like furry animals in movies like Alvin And The Chipmunks and similar movies. It's that in fantasy the world in movies, animals can talk. And some people get very confused about what's going on in the film with people and animals with fur in the background. And about CGI. Amazing work! The film is very good with CGI effects that coat on all Easter bunny and chickens. The characters were very funny. Some are very upset about Carlos playing Mexican. I think Carlos was a bit exaggerated but worked. They could have cut away the scene with everything sung with the song "I Want Candy". Got a little cringe there. Must say that Hop is one of my favorite movies with live action. But it's a bit boring with all the poop jokes and at the end was a bit boring. Feels like the movie studio just wanted to finish, so they just brushed some mixed scenes. But the movie can be a little hard to sit still at. I think the movie Hop should get a sequel to the same good movie team behind. However, the film may be best for 13 year old's with adult companies. I always get into the head that the movie was created in 2011 for some reason. I bought the movie on DVD on February 3, 2016. The movie gets 10/10 for the best live action film.
